Marketing Manager

Position Summary:

We are looking for a well rounded individual to jumpstart and own our email marketing efforts.  We have resources and rich environment but need the right person to come in and make it happen.  We need somebody that can understand the technology (email platforms, analytics) along with the promotional “get-it-ness” to generate ideas that resonate with customers and pull it all together with internal groups (tech, customer service) and outside service providers (Photoshop consultants, etc.).

Role:

  • Conceive and develop email marketing programs to market our high value add service to consumers.
  • Manage the entire process: conception, creative, execution and evaluation.
  • Work with tech, business decision makers, customer service and off-site contractors.

Qualifications:

  • Two years of work experience after graduation – previous experience in online advertising is preferred but not required.
  • Bachelors from a top university.
  • Start-up mentality- ready and able to do it all.

SEM Analyst

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing and implementing our SEM program
  • Find, build and test new keyword campaigns on a continuous basis
  • Optimize existing campaigns based on ROI feedback from our tracking tools
  • Generate new ad copy and new marketing strategies for testing and potential implementation based on competitor activity
  • Stay informed of industry trends and best practices

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1-2 years of search engine marketing experience with a proven track record of building out large, well-structured campaigns
  • Experience in implementing and managing a large-scale PPC program with top three search engines (Google, Yahoo, MSN)
  • Familiarity with AdWords Editor
  • Hands-on experience in bid management tools and web analytics software
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Strong work ethic and a team player, with the ability to work well independently
  • Google AdWords Certification a plus
  • Agency experience and training a plus
  • Excel skills a plus (experience with pivot tables, vlookups, etc.)

Web Developer

Position Summary:

We are looking for a highly capable web developer with focus on Ruby on Rails to help build and support the next version software used to run Flywheel Network’s web sites. This is an opportunity to work in a small (<15 person), established and highly profitable, growth company located in downtown San Francisco. Great for someone wanting more than the traditional coder role. You will be working alongside the CTO and CEO on new business development projects.

  • Own the product. We are a company without formal product mangers, so you help identify ways to improve the customer experience and grow the business.
  • Write, test, and launch clean apps in weeks, not months or years.
  • Build, implement and maintain various types of web applications including: real-time CRMs, consumer facing sites, internal analytics and reporting systems.

Qualifications:

We are looking for the exceptional programer (a Great Hacker). If this is you, please apply. Some background you might have:

  • 3+ years experience developing commercial web applications.
  • Demonstrated experience with HTML, CSS and Javsascript (jQuery and Prototype a plus).
  • Passionate and experienced with the Ruby on Rails framework. Deep knowledge required of existing and best plugins/add-ons, migrations tools, Capistrano, etc.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Some experience in system provisioning and maintenance: Apache, MySQL, and UNIX.
  • Bonus: Experience and knowledge in Search Engine Optimization (SEO).
  • Bonus: Experience in Test-Driven Development.
